I spent the weekend behind a lens catching up with Winter's late arrival. I think what the "no snow on our backyard" folks forget is how far the New England ski industry (both Alpine and XC) has evolved in making the most of what Mother Nature comes up with. I watched the XC version- without the luxury of snowmaking- in action at
Jackson XC on a brisk Sunday morning yesterday. Almost like what I do- you have to have the right tool BUT you have to know how to use it. The conditions are impressive- we are having a great Winter despite Mother Nature and no one believes it... BL
